Post-doctoral Fellowship - University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada

The University of British Columbia invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in the field of economic history starting in September 2004 or January 2005. The position may be located at UBC, or at one of our partner institutions: Universite de Montreal, Queen's University, or the University of Oxford. Funding for the fellowship is provided through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada's five-year Initiative on
the New Economy. For more information on the project, see our website: Candidates should have completed, or be near completion of, their PhD, and should be interested in developing a research program in an area related to the 'New Economy.' Appointments will be for up to two years. Applicants should submit a CV, three reference letters, a sample research paper, and a short research proposal. The University of British Columbia hires on the basis of merit. We encourage all qualified persons to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority.
