The Washington hub is co-organizing the upcoming event "Colloquium on Gender, Indigeneity and Migration" on June 16th at Georgetown University.
This colloquium will convene exceptional thought leaders and activists to critically examine Indigenous women's migration from Central America to the U.S. Through an interdisciplinary and humanities-focused approach, they will identify inherent strengths, skills and achievements that Indigenous women migrants cultivate within and among themselves and explore their unique agency. This approach will allow for a comprehensive examination of the multi-layered experiences of Indigenous women who migrate and whose stories remain largely untold.
