Primarily focusing on questions of adaptation, gender, aesthetics and reception in North American film and television (particularly masculinity and the grotesque), she has recently worked on Deliverance, Westworld, The Walking Dead and The Handmaid’s Tale. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the articulation of masculine malaise and the grotesque in 1970s film adaptations in the US.
