Xavier Lemoine is Associate Professor of American and performance studies at Gustave Eiffel University. His research focuses on queer theater and performance in the United States, and on postmodern identities and representations (sexuality, gender, race, class, multimedia, hybridity). He has published in peer-reviewed journals (Études anglaises, Horizon/Théâtre, Coup de Théâtre, Revue Française d’Études Américaines) and edited collections (PU de Bordeaux, Rodopi, Cambridge Scholar Publishing). He is the coeditor of Understanding Blackness Through Performance (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013). He is currently writing a book on queer theater and performance counter-canon formation.
